Temple of Skulls: Unboxing

I'm a bit of a bargain hunter, so I frequent second-hand trading forums looking for a deal - and this is one I just couldn't pass up. I managed to pick-up Games Workshop's Temple of Skulls for a really good deal (half RRP!), although at this point I'm not sure what I plan on using it for.

The size of the terrain piece really surprised me - I'd seen pictures online, but didn't really realise how big it was. It measures in at around 40cm x 24cm and would be a suitable piece for 40K or a skirmish game, but it's scale and shape would make it a little awkward to use on a Kings of War table.

Well, I think it looks awesome, and even if I just use it as a decorative piece of blocking terrain - and it'll definitely help bring my battles to life!

Abyssal Army Unboxing - Part 1

I thought I’d write-up a short review of the Abyssal Dwarf Army Box I received, so any other potential Abyssal Dwarf Generals can have a better idea about what to expect.
There weren’t any assembly instructions in the box, or labelling on the packets of metal pieces, so I’ll include some information here too.

PACKAGING
The contents come in a nice big box with a great piece of Abyssal Dwarf artwork on the front.
Within the box, the plastic sprues are loose, and the metal Abyssal add-ons come in separate packets of bubble-wrap.

CONTENTS

SPRUES
Dwarf Ironclad Command (4) – 5 dwarf models on each sprue
Dwarf Ironclad Troop (2) - 5 dwarf models on each sprue
Dwarf Shieldbreaker (2) -  2 dwarf models on each sprue
Dwarf Ironwatch (5) – 2 dwarf models on each sprue
Undead Balefire Catapult (1) – 1 warmachine on each sprue
Dwarf Ironbelcher Crew (1) – 2 dwarf models on each sprue

METAL PACKETS (in bubble-wrap baggies)
Immortal Guard Bag – the one with 8 metal torsos in it
Blacksouls Bag – the biggest bag
Decimators Bag – the bag with the blunderbusses in it
Katsuchan Rocket Bag – the smallest bag

OTHER
Bases - 42 included, enough for your dwarf troops (you'll need two more for your Mutated Mastiffs though)
Rulebook (printed on a pamphlet)
Mantic Points (a bunch of little stickers)

Alright - without cataloguing every little piece, everything seems in order! In part two, I'll go over which sprues are for which units.
